Employee Permits:

The Parking Authority, from time to time, will provide parking  permits to those persons who provide proof of employment and/or business ownership in the City of Bethlehem, and are operators of motor vehicles not registered in the appropriate Residential Permit Parking Area ("RPP").  The permits are granted in compliance with the City of Bethlehem Parking Ordinance.  These permits are not valid for areas where meters are located.  Other restrictions, as determined by the Parking Authority, may apply.

Employee permits are limited in space and not all RPP streets have employee permits. Employee permits are designated to a specific block and a specific side of the street.  Currently, we have a waitlist for some streets.

Proof of employment
$50.00 initial cost- cost of renewal during the month of March is $40.00. Fees are prorated.

Walnut Street and North Street Garages:

Part-time employee discount cards will be available at the Bethlehem Parking Authority for those working in the downtown area on a part-time or temporary basis where a monthly contract parking fee would not be financially practical.  A  fee of $5 per card will be charged.  These cards will be in the form of a plastic “mag stripe” card and will work like a debit card whereby increments of money will be purchased and put onto the card at the discounted rate of $.50 an hour as opposed to the regular fee of $.75 per hour and any part of an hour.
