The Parking Authority is hereby authorized to designate, as herein provided, certain streets and other public areas within the City of Bethlehem as Residential Permit Parking areas in which resident vehicles displaying valid parking permits may stand or be parked without limitation by parking time restrictions established by this Article. Vehicles not displaying valid parking permits may stand or be parked for a limited time not to exceed the time specified upon adequately posted signs.
A vehicle may park for 2 hours in the limit block and then must leave that limit block for 2 hours before returning. The time starts when the officer marks the tire, or logs the vehicle registration number.
Residential Permit Parking (RPP)

$20.00 initial cost - renewal fee of $10.00. Fees are prorated. All documents must be registered to the address where the parking permit will be used. New residents not yet registered with PA license and registration to their new address can receive a temporary pass for 14 days. When Pa information is received, you may purchase a permit.
Visitor Permits
Students and residents may get a visitor permit for a limit of 14 days in a year. A residential parking permit must be issued to receive a visitor permit.

Employee Permits
Employee permits are limited in space and not all RPP streets have employee permits. Employee permits are designated to a specific block and a specific side of the street. They are not valid at any meter location. Currently, we have a waitlist for some streets.

Summer Permits
Summer permits are available to students living on the south side of Bethlehem only, from June 1st to August 31st, for a fee of $20.00
Visitor Permit, Contractor, and All City Permits - Are hang-tag type permits which shall be displayed by hanging from the rearview mirror.
Contractor Permits
Contractor permits will be valid only in designated residential parking districts. Vehicle is exempt from 2-hour parking restrictions in those designated areas. All other posted parking regulations must be observed.

There is a $3.00 non-refundable charge per day per vehicle.
All City Permits
All City Permits will be valid only in locations where the vehicle is currently providing a commercial service and/or delivering commercial goods. This permit is not valid in the numbered block or location of permittee's business.

Documentation that vehicle is registered to a commercial entity.
$100.00/per year plus an initial hang tag deposit fee of $10.00 which will be refunded when returned.
Only a vehicle with a business logo on the vehicle and with the company affiliation on file with the Authority will be allowed to use the permit.
