In both of Bethlehem’s downtowns, metered parking is available on nearly every block.
When you arrive, look for posted signage that clearly indicates:
- The hourly rate
- The maximum time allowed
You’ll find payment options marked by:
- Parking meters
- Multi-space Pay Stations (with large, vibrant signage)
- Mobile parking app signs
ParkBethlehem Program
ParkBethlehem, launching September 3, 2024, is a strategic parking management initiative designed to better meet varying parking needs throughout the city.
The program introduces two metered parking zones with tailored pricing to:
- Increase utilization of nearby parking garages
- Encourage quick turnover in high-demand areas
- Promote use of lower-demand metered spaces

Metered Rate Zones
RapidPark Zone
- Located in core downtown areas
- Covers approximately 30% of the meter system
- $2.50 per hour
- 2-hour maximum stay
This zone is ideal for short visits and helps ensure greater parking availability in high-demand areas.
FlexPark Zone
- Located slightly farther from the downtown cores
- Walkable to shops, dining, and attractions
- $1.50 per hour
- 3-hour maximum stay
This zone reduces congestion while supporting a more pedestrian-friendly downtown experience.
All parking equipment is clearly marked with color-coded signage indicating the applicable rate zone.

We’re proud to offer Eight convenient ways to pay for your parking session!
The most convenient way to pay to park is to use mobile parking apps. We’re proud to offer two mobile paymnet options, ParkMobile and Pay by Phone. With these apps, you can,
- Add time to your parking session.
- Have expiration reminders sent to you.
- Stop your parking session short if you ended up paying more time than you needed! You’ll get your unused money back!
- Multi-language access.
- Apple Pay.
- Add multiple License Plates (Please be mindful of using the correct one).
Pay Stations
Starting in 2023, the Bethlehem Parking Authority began to replace its aging single-space parking meters with multi-space pay stations.
The pay stations feature,
- 10” full-color touchscreens.
- Additional convenient and secure payment methods, such as,
o Apple Pay
o Google Pay
o Tap to Pay - “Text to Extend,” which allows customers to extend their parking session through their mobile phones.
- Multiple language interface.

On Street Meters are enforced from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Please see the below list for Holidays where on street parking meters are not enforced.
